RE: Lilies



Lynn,

most lily enthusiasts agree that orientals should be planted in the fall to
allow for root growth during the milder winter days.  You could plant them
in the spring, but the plant won't perform as well in the garden.

Some other varieties of lilies benefit from a spring planting, true, but
from my experience, the fall planting does generate better results in my
growing zone 6a.
