Mary,
the campanula carpatica edged part of my rose bed for two years and
subsequently pooped out about the same time as my tea roses in two years.
I no longer fool with the hybrid teas and I've given up on campanulas after
trying the following varieties: campanula pyramidalis, campanula glomerata
'Joan Elliot', campanula persicifolia, and campanula glomerata.
I love 'blue' and have spent far too much on these. I now stick to
salvias, veronicas, the adenophoras, nepetas, russian sage, and alliums.
Much more reliable.
