RE: yellow and blue

My yellow and blues...blue salvia guarantica--tall, beautiful rich blue;
lantana MISS HUFF; shasta daisy BECKY; solidago FIREWORKS and GOLDEN FLEECE.
The salvia is the new plant in this group this year and it really adds a
'zing' to the border. The solidago has not bloomed as yet, so am waiting to
see how it looks with it.

Another combination I have in another bed is coreopsis ZAGREB and veronica
SUNNY BORDER BLUE, along with other plants. I am most unhappy with the
veronica--it mildewed early in the season and most of the bottom leaves have
dried up and fallen off. Looks very unattractive. They have been floppy as
well. I think i prefer MOONBEAM coreopsis to ZAGREB because of the shape of
the plants. I have done more rearranging with this garden than any other
that I have and I still haven't gotten it right. It is my sunniest place
and right below a deck. I have some daylilies, sedum, gaura, phlox, shasta
daisy, and scabiosas in this space as well. The scabiosas are not all that
great, in my opinion. I am probably trying to get too many plants in too
small a place. Oh well...will figure it all out by fall.
