Re: Gophers or moles?

Hello Dale,
We must have some of those hard-nosed, mid-western moles here ;-)
I just constructed a large trough where a water pond used to be. I filled it
with a mix of granite turkey grit, sand and potting medium. Mulch is pea gravel
and grit. It did not take 12 hours for the moles to find it. Dale, they are out
there doing the back stroke through the mix, kicking it into the air and calling
to their friends the voles. Would not surprise me to see little beach chairs and
umbrellas along the edge of the bed by this afternoon.
In all seriousness, it sure does not work here.
