Just outside the fence was a spirea, very overgrown and we cut it down this
spring and replaced it with something else. I wonder if that will be the
demise of my crocosmia? I have had an occasional dahlia and glad come back,
but not that can be counted on. This year the verbena bonariensis came back
from the roots which I've never seen happen before. It was a very mild
winter.
