Thanks for the annotated list of nurseries, Gene. Other than the Art Museum,
do you know any good nurseries in Indianapolis? I was at one of the Habig's
sites a couple months ago and they have a few out of the ordinary plants,
plus many of the standards. Fairly good selection of clematis too, although
quite small plants. But who would you recommend for perennials there? I
visited Soule's a few years ago, but I fear my daylily collection is as big
as I have room for already and I don't have any more space for hostas.
<<Hostas of Kentuckiana, the Daffodil Society, Louisville Daylily Society,
Louisville Iris and the Bonsi Society are having a combined annual sale in
Louisville on a Saturday morning. Do you go to that one? Kind of like sharks
in a
barrel form 10:00 until about 1:00. Then it is all gone. >>
===>I know some of the daffodil people in Louisville and usually exhibit
and/or judge their show in April. BTW, for anyone not too far from
Louisville, they are hosting the American Daffodil Society annual convention
in April 2001 and it would be a good visit. Pop in to see the national show
if nothing else. Then make plans to attend the Cincinnati convention in
2002. Contact me off list if you want a contact for either of these
conventions.
