Nan, what you posted about the demise of the Foster & Gallagher companies
agrees with the press releases I received. We've discussed some of those
companies on this list before and some people have had good experiences with
them and some bad.
What I'm wondering, especially for Breck's and Michigan Bulb Cos. is whether
the Dutch bulb companies that sell to these companies will be left holding
the bag--lots of bulbs ready to ship, but no one to ship them too. Not to
mention millions of dollars in lost sales.
Sales of bulbs in local retail outlets could be affected, couldn't they?
Will they go down because the Dutch are anxious to sell their surpluses, or
will they go up because not as many bulbs will reach the marketplace.
Does anybody have a rich uncle who'd like to step in and take over those bulb
companies and create a bulb company that could build a stellar reputation?
