Here, Bill, what we call a Junebug is a huge black beetle with little ability
to navigate. It flies somewhat awkwardly into windows and doors at night
when lights are on. It is quite heavy and so one notices the crash when one
hits a window. There is a whole new nomenclature to learn on bugs, even the
word bug is defined to certain classes of insects.
When I was in school it would never have occurred to me to look into
entomology but now I think it must be a fascinating subject.
