We are lucky here, even in south-east England, which we consider to be
inhospitable. We forget that what we call winter is really quite mild
compared with you. The libertia grows very well for me in the open garden
and is a terrible nuisance if I forget to cut off its seed heads - it
germinates like grass seed. I'm not sure I would try to grow it in a pot -
it's very pretty, but I think if it didn't like me, I could find something
more interesting to expend that effort on!
We have had 18 mm of rain in the last 24 hours, last night my husband put
the central heating on and the weather forecast gave a risk of ground frost
for tonight. This is supposed to be summer!!
