The third plant is Crinodendron hookerianum, which grows very well in
Ireland.
I do see it in Phillips/Rix on Chilean shrubs. A heavenly place to grow a
garden, southern Ireland. Thanks from me, too.
The fourth one doesn't look like the allium to me. It's a bit
difficult to see, but it seems to be growing as a big clump. It looks very
much like a Libertia - either formosana or grandiflora (I've never been able
to tell the difference) That would have been in flower in the last month or
so. >>
I have never seen a Libertia in the flesh. You have in the UK access to a
larger diversity of bulbs than we have here. I am going off and look up
Libertia, I know the name but have never seen it listed for sale here.
Terrific to ferry over to Ireland for a tour, and more terrific to see
growing a large diversity of plants. If we in the Northeast want to see,
that is grow, many of these bulbs we have to figure out how to do so with pot
culture.
