This turns our to be a beautiful small perennial. It is a ruby color and has
tons of buds. It is about fifteen inches tall and is just blooming now for
me. That means it probably has bloomed elsewhere much earlier in the season.
I have two patches of this plant, one in the gravel. You get more flowers and
a better plant with water but both are OK. If it makes it through the winter
as easily as 'Moonbeam' which it resembles, it will be a very popular plant.
Just one small thing, the ruby color is lost in a sea of green, this plant
needs a companion. What would be a good companion for a delicate leaved
plant covered with ruby colored daisies?
Where is this heat coming from, we are looking at a hot week and I have to
attend a tour on the worst day? Anybody hiding from the heat today would
have seen Lauren Springer's garden on HGTV, Erica Glasener.
