Are yours in full sun? Are they happy? I'm in Zone 7 and notice you're in
Zone 4.
Are they evergreen for you? >>
This is my summer with 'Oriental Limelight' but I can tell you that I do not
trust the parentage of this plant. I bought it in March so it was a pot
plant here for three months. It grew so fast ans much that I clipped and
rooted all the tops so from one 4 inch pot have around twnety more plants.
Nothing is evergreen in zone 4 that is herbaceous. Or if you wish to call
something evergreen, as hellebores you have really beat up plants in spring
that need to be cut down. I should say hellebores can be kept here protected
and covered and they will still be all right in spring. But, it is a lot of
work. Vinca and pachysandra are the same.
The Artemesia is, every plant in some container or some rocky infested place,
half sun plus full sun. They are over 15 inches and in full sun are already
trimmed back with shears. Since mine are all in containers, I cannot say
what conditions they might need. There is perfect drainage and proper water
in all containers plus water soluble fertilizer around two or three times
each summer. That might make a difference.
When I bought this plant in March at the Boston Show, the tag said hardy to
40 degrees below zero. I have never read that on a label before.
