Arachinoides

Gene, Nancy,et al:
I bought a fern labeled Arachnoides aristata, Variegated East Indian Holly 
Fern. I believe this may be the same as 'simplicior'.   I'm in zone 6B, 
however the fern struggled in the garden. Always very late in coming 
up...late June/early July....so I decided to pot it up. Every year for the 
past three it goes out on May 1 and returns to the house when the first frost 
is expected. No special treatment indoors.  I keep it in a window and water 
moderately. It grows quite nicely and is very happy under these 
circumstances.
