Well, Walter,
    I am not sowing seed at this point. I am collecting seeds for a few of
the ephemerals in the garden. Seeds sown last fall of early this spring are
producing some plants large enough to pot up to larger sizes and grow on for
this fall or next spring. Tricyrtis sown last fall are producing seedlings
large enough to move up to larger containers now. I am running a bit late,
but will be dividing some iris cristata to pot up to grow on.
    I do not treat the "exotic" arisaema any different that I treat the
local species when sowing. Clean the pulp off, sow in the fall, soak and let
winter over. They germinate the following spring. Each to his own......
