I've never found mine a pain except that they do love to seed into
the gravel drive and aren't easy to pull because they are so low;
hard to get a grip on the crown and the leaves are so tender at that
stage they come off without bringing the roots with them. However, I
wouldn't say you need to keep an eagle eye on them, depending where
you have them and whether or not that area is informal enough that
they won't matter where they show up.
