Re: Perennials--where are you?/ walnut tree

Hello Gale,
I have a mature walnut tree in the very center of my garden. On the tree
itself I have a climbing hydrangea that is now 9 years old and bloomed for
the first time this spring. At the base and near the tree I have ladyslipper
orchids, royal ferns, creeping mint, two species of turtlehead. Heaven only
knows the number of plants within the spread of its root system in the
garden. These things listed certainly have their feet in walnut roots and do
just fine.
Believe I saw a list of "do-nots" someone sent you, other lists of
plants sent to you that do well... sounds as though you are well on the road
to a new garden.
