I also have a very short list up at
http://wp.nres.uiuc.edu/plant/jugni80
Other plants that have done well under a black walnut include Hosta
(they seem to multiply just fine), Rosa eglanteria, Hydrangea spp,
Ribes odoratum, Pulmonaria saccharata, Tradescantia spp., Geranium x
cantagbriense 'Biokovo' and 'Karmina', Eupatorium coelestinum,
Stachys byzantina, Tricyrtis hirta, Trillium erectum, Phlox divaricata,
Convallaria majalis, Vinca minor, Tiarella spp., Heucherella spp.,
Geranium x endressii, Rubus spp., Belamcanda chinensis, Heuchera spp.,
Sisyrnchium angustifolium, Oenothera speciosa, Galium odoratum, and
Lunaria annua.
That's all that I can think of off the top of my head. :)
