Re: Lightning buggs and frogs

Corgilover said no frogs but lots of lightning bugs. I seem to have the
opposite--wonderful frog symphonies every night, both pond and tree frogs. But
where we usually have masses of lightning bugs, not so many this year. And the
Japanese beetle population seems much smaller this year. And the bird population
seems about normal.

Mosquitoes and biting flies very prevalent, however, and we don't spend time
outside without spraying exposed areas with Deep Woods Off--West Nile Virus is
in the area.

Interesting, though, isn't it, how the life in our environments seems to vary
from area to area and even garden to garden?
