Gentians

Hi Gene, if your article on Gentians, did you tell how to grow them?
Sites, additives, etc?  I have been growing them from seeds but so far
have not seen robust growth out of any one of them.  They are beginning
to bloom but certainly nothing to get excited about.  The native ones
that I move from under the beech tree, on the other hand, are seeding
around and blooming in 2 years.  What am I doing wrong?
