Boy do I need help. I planted a Kolkwitzia amabilis "Pink Cloud". The first spring I left it alone, figuring it was young and should just rest. Second spring I pruned it (know now I shouldn't have) This spring I left it alone, and got lovely arching branches coming out of the circle of new growth from last years pruning. However, not a sign of a bud this spring at all. Do I just have to be patient or should I be doing something else.
Any suggestions for my Beauty Bush?
Thanks, Lillian, Zone 5
My expertise is severely limited, but I did have one years ago, although not this particular cultivar. I remember being a bit disappointed in the reliably of its' bloom and it was trimmed but rarely.
