Adventitious fabaceous plant

Perhaps 10 years ago, I began to see the plant pictured in the attachment
growing next to the road in an area used by semi-trailer companies and the
like. It occurred to me that it could well be a plant brought in by any of
the many large trucks that pass this way. For the most part, is likes to
grow by the side of the road, but as seen in the photo, can extend some way
from the highway. Now, however is seems ubiquitous around south eastern
Wisconsin (at least) It is definitely fabaceous in nature and unfortunately,
I don't have a current close-up. A look through my Gleason and Cronquist
(Manual of Vascular plants of the NE United States) seems to point to a
species of crotalaria, although the flower heads are more globular than
linear . It's not terribly un-pretty and I suppose the fabaceous nature
many actually enrich the soil.

Any suggestions?
