Hi kitty
Sad isn't ir to watch all these things shrivel and give up the ghost? Just have been replacing/amending soil and am in the process of adding mulch. Pardemcanda is worth the try though. Maybe in a slightly sheltered location. Resally have to hope for decent snow cover this winter. Frustrating thing is the Bergenia I got from a friend is healthy and happy, while the "Bach" I paid a fair bit for is busy dying before my very eyes! Husband wants to know why I can be up and out in the garden first thing in the morning, while winter calls for 2 or 3 cups of tea before I even begin to move. Lil T. I've always wanted to try a Pardancanda, the colors I've
seen are stunning, but zonewise I thought I was a little iffy. If
winters continue being warmer, I'd like to try it. Bergenia was always
struggling for me, rarely flowered, so I gave up on it.
Second year has been good for some plants like Phlox p
Wendy House - such color!! But not so good for two of my Huecheras -
Marvelous Marbles and Obsidian. I took them out and potted them up before
they gave up altogether. I've had another Obsidian for years in another
spot and we also sold them in MGnursery - always a strong grower, but this one,
while it did famously last year was rapidly declining.
