Bought it as a plant from a local nursery after seeing pictures in some of the catalogs.  As I said, not as red as the pictures, but maybe that's because it's in some shade (probably just as well because of the heat).

Don't know if it will be perennial or have to hope for reseeding.  I like it, though, as I have enough yellow as it is.

Weather-wise, pretty much in the same boat as all the rest of you in the mid-west.  I’ve noticed that the drought and heat have been particularly hard on the Euonymus (Burning Bush).

Only one occupant of my household seems to enjoy the heat.
