That sort of distance sounds reasonable to me for avoiding hybridization - but then, what do I know? How big is your yard? > Kitty Well, I'm not sure what I want and I did make it sound like I wanted hybrids. :) If they'll hybridize freely I'll plant them close to each other just for giggles since I probably can't get a straight species out of the deal. If they hybridize but have to be neighbors I'll probably do it by hand and plant them far apart -- the best of both worlds. And if they don't hybridize, I'll plant them apart anyhow. :) The yard isn't very big (like 1/4 acre with a house in the middle), but I figured I'd put the S. lasiocarpum in the front yard where it's drier and the other two in back where it's irrigated, but about 50' apart.
