Michauxia tchihatchewii (sp)


Hello List:
	I have just had this plant come into bloom in the last two or
three days, and it is quite spectacular.  It is from seed I purchased
from the Alpine Garden Club of British Columbia in 1996.  It was sown in
the spring of 1996, and planted out in the fall of 1996.  Does anybody
else grow this plant, and could you give me any info on how long I can
expect it to survive, what conditions you know it to accept, does it set
much seed(I have two survivors of app. six plants planted), and does it
self-sow?  Also how on earth do pronounce the damn name?
