Hi
We have recently added boarders to my perennial beds using old broken
bits of concrete from our dug up driveway. We smashed them into
manageable bits with a sledge hammer and then moved them into position.
We dug the first layer into the dirt edge and then 2 more layers on top for
height then all the old topsoil from the driveway was wheelbarrowed in and
now I have the hugh task of filling in with heaps of plants!!
Did not cost us anything except beers for the mates who helped. Wanted a
natural look and $$$ of course was an issue. Old bits of discarded
concrete
seems to be readily avaliable, could try exchange magazines or your local
newspapers.
