Flagstone vs concrete

To Sheila Craig and everyone else:

Sheila -- I too was envious of flagstone paths until I priced one out!
Since the cost was prohibitive, my husband and I built our patio, walkways,
stairs and terraces from pieces of BROKEN concrete.  It is almost as
attractive as the flagstone and costs 1/100th of the price (and sometimes
nothing at all).  Visitors are amazed when we tell them what the material
is, many assume it is stone.  We've used it both as flat pavers and stacked
for walls.

It's also a great way to recycle your concrete and keeps tons of concrete
from the landfill.
