My daughter bought a house with an ugly concrete path going alongside the
house.  They had a landscape architect consult and he came up with a
wonderful solution--along with a lot of other great ideas.  They broke up
the concrete into irregular, fairly large chunks and repositioned the
chunks so it looks like big flat stones, and are getting things to grow in
the spaces between--it looked so much better instantly, and didn't cost
anything except a lot of labor. They had quite a bit of concrete left over
and made a small terrace area out of that.  Judy Warner
