Marilyn, use an edging tool to dig a small ditch (just a few inches wide)
between your garden and the walkway.  It will channel the water and prevent it
running off over your walk.  More water will stay in your garden that way too!


BTW, I'm envious of your flagstone path. I HATE the ugly white concrete path
that fronts our house.  Another year or two and I'll convince my husband that
it's worth replacing with a more attractive alternative.
