I always use an ax to do edging. I like to sit while I work as it is easier
on my back. I just bought a neat little seat on wheels made by the Step 2
Company called a Grass Hopper. You can sit on it and just roll down the yard
or sidewalk and the seat lifts up so you can store your garden tools in it.
I just make a cut with the ax, wiggle it back and forth, take out a piece of
sod, shake off the dirt and throw the rest in my compost pile. I guess
that's the lazy gardener's way of doing it. I don't know if it's faster but
it works for me.
