Re: SEDUM, AUTUMN JOY


Dear Mary:
	When I've cut the Sedum 'Autumn Joy' back in spring after enjoying the
brown flower stalks all winter is the time for division.  Do you have an
inexpensive tool called something like a Dutch perennial tool?  It's a
sharp piece of metal on the end of a short wooden shalft with a simple
handle on top.  The tool makes slicing through perennials like Autumn
Joy easy.  
	Not being the most organized gardener in the world I've also moved
sedum at all other times of the year.  Cut back so you can see what
you're doing and divide.  Make deep straight cuts.
