Deb, Don't despair! Gladiolas are late bloomers. They will probably start
showing flower stalks in the next couple of weeks and start blooming in mid
August. Their lovely blooms will liven up your late-summer garden for a month,
anyway. You'll probably want to stake the flower stems to make sure a high
wind doesn't knock them down.
