If you're talking about Symphytum grandiflora, a low growing comfrey,
sometimes referred to also as Creeping Comfrey, then I can report that it is
as fast as, or faster than, the other forms I grow in my herb and ornamental
gardens. S. grandiflorum is 8-12 inches tall, cream white flowers (hint of
very pale yellow) and fairly fast across the ground with underground rhizomes.
