Like Isabelle, who began this thread, my hollyhocks (singles, doubles and
triples) were fine for years and then bam . . rust rust rust. The leaves
are quite beautiful when eaten away as they are, but not quite what I
have in mind for healthy flowers . . . . <sigh>
The flowers that have bloomed seem fine, but the buds waiting to bloom
are getting a little brown. They are in a west facing garden with plenty
of drainage and good soil . . .any solutions? My local extension says
use Funginex (sp?), but I haven't found it to work.
