Jeanne,
Bless your heart! I can hear your frustration. Being as new to this as
you are, I can sympathize with you completely. And yes, I get as mad as it
sounds like you are. I think things are blooming at the wrong time this
year because of the mild winter. My rose of sharon bush which is not
supposed to bloom until August is already in full bloom. And my Autumn Joy
Sedum is showing signs of blooming soon. I guess I'll have no joy this
autumn.
If it make you feel any better, I have a hot pink four o clock in the midst
of my yellow coreopsis and yellow/red daylilies. I didn't label my
seedlings carefully enough. And I will soon have a misidentified (by me)
bright orange tithonia in my pink/purple bed. I thought it was an African
daisy.
Like I've said before, I was utterly disappointed with my echinecia purpura
and monarda last year because they just sat there. They are huge and
gorgeous this year. It will get better.
Keep posting! I enjoy hearing from someone who is in the same boat I am.
Amy
