purple and orange

Dear Purple and orange fans,
Well, Bill, I'd like a corner of these colors too but NOT a whole
garden full. If I'm going to have a garden to match a mail service,
I'd rather go with priority mail..red, white and blue.
Actually, the big problem, as I look at it ,is that I need
something white in between the purple and orange so that they weren't
so close together. It's too late for me to go with annuals..all the
stores around here have nothing but flats of dead plants for sale.
What else offers a strong white besides the shasta daisies.? I'm
thinking of next year because, by the time my shasta daisies decide to
stop sulking and put on a show this year, all the purple and orange
will be gone.
Does anyone know of a yellow plant..not the bright golden yellow of
coreopsis but more of a butter yellow. I've seen snapdragons in that
soft yellow color but I was thinking of perennials.Something that
would be blooming around now (under normal circumstances).
   Jeanne
