Well it seems like the replies are all in. Betty, Hal, Wanda and
Pottsey all informed me that THEIR shasta daisies are blooming their
little hearts out. Some are even on their second round of bloom!.
This is not what I wanted to hear. SAdams consoled me with the fact
that His (her?) daisies never bloomed the first year either. That I
did want to hear. Matt put a guilt trip on me saying it was my own
fault because I moved them. Others suggested too much or not enough
fertilizer, or maybe just the wrong kind because the foliage is so
lush. Pat suggested I try Peter's Bloom Buster. I don't know who
Peter is, but our local home depot thinks I am crazy asking for
Peter's Bloom Buster. I think Rita had the best explaination..she
thinks they are playing hide and seek with me..coming out at night or
whenever I'm not looking and retreating when I appear. Maybe I should
become a moonlight gardener like some of the other eccentrics on this
list.
In any case, I know you all all waiting with baited breath to hear
the final installment of this stirring saga so if ,and when, there is
something of note to report ( like perhaps a bloom) you will be the
first to hear about it.
