I have a neighbour who has taken the shock idea one step further and has
built a slug zapper. He has this battery operated setup that actually
fries any slugs that try to get anywhere near his brocolli. Runs off a
9 volt battery and the battery has lasted over a month. He has also been
counting the slugs he has killed this season and is up around 4000. We
have a lot of slugs here, we live beside a bog.
