The problem is with the other animals that can get into the slug bait.
I lost a cat once because of someone else's slug bait. There is also
a problem created in the food chain. I visited a bird rescue place once
and the way they described it was the slug eats the bait, a snake can eat
the slug and then the eagles etc can eat the snake and they get sick birds
of prey. I do not want to kill any of my pets, or snakes (they eat slugs)or
hurt the eagles or hawks. I have seen them flying away with snakes.
