What kind of birds are you talking about???? I've never had a problem like
that, and I've got 7 bird feeders going full time, year 'round. If I
forget to feed them, they're sitting in branches outside the windows trying
to give me the hint. And I have thousands of birds since I live deep in the
country on 6.5 acres, surrounded by nothing but farmland.

As for a deterrent, try hanging "flash tape" in the trees and/or shrubs you
want them to avoid. Or dig into the Christmas decorations ("Christmas in
July!!"), find some of that icicle stuff, and string that around. Not only
will it run the birds off, your neighbors will think you're insane (which
can be a good thing, if handled correctly).

the floods we had here
