Yes, go get an owl from a garden center.  They are kind of hokey
looking, made of plastic, but keep the bulk of critters at bay.  Out
local boat marinas and the Double Tree hotel use them on the roofs and
in the eaves to keep the seagulls and the 'eave nesters' away.  Works
pretty well.
