Jeanne, I was going to post a question to you about your shastas, but I
found this thread from you. My shastas were new plants I bought and planted
this spring. I did not pinch them at all. Had never heard of that
suggestion for blooming. I now have shastas growing in all my beds. I have
even taken in a few bouquets for the house. I will deadhead some today and
hope to encourage more blooms.
