Sounds interesting, but I just came back from "The Enchanted Valley
Gardens" daylily nursery near Evansville, WI, and am still in a dazzled
state over all the colors, heights, flower forms and bloom times of
these named hybrids. I walked up and down the long, long rows of various
daylily cultivars looking for some good pinks to add to my multi-hued
daylily bed and kept seeing other must-haves!! Esp., one called 'Black
Cat', the darkest red, almost black one I've ever seen, and then there
was 'Nob Hill', a bi-tone, and 'Double Pom Pom', a double ruffled rose,
and then.... well, anyway, I spent on paper a couple hundred dollars and
now must whittle down the list for ordering next spring!

BTW, if you'd like a copy of their catalog (they have bulbs, perennials,
roses, shrubs, etc. as well) with a few pages of daylily pictures (
can't do them all--they have about 250+ varieties), here's the address:

Enchanted Valley Gardens, LLC
9123 N. Territorial Road
Evansville, WI 53536

They usually have special Open House weekends a couple times in July
which I deliberately miss--in order to avoid crowds and wander unimpeded
during regular hours.
