When my cat used to get up on things I did not want her on I would put
sticky tape reversed on the item. It is no where near as offensive and
dangerous as the product you mention. Isn't that awful. Somethings that
pass the EPA must have been presented on a holiday weekend, or when the
brain was on leave.
