Does anyone else out there grow filipendula rubra 'Venustra', and, if so,
where do you grow them? I am willing to make a new island bed just to
 showcase these beauties, if necessary.

Dear Myrna,

I have my plant in full sun in a perennial bed that is in a low spot that
collects water every time it rains. I moved it this spring from the rear to
more in the center and it is the tallest it has even been--as tall as me -
5'5". Of course, it could be that we had 9" of rain in two weeks. I actually
moved it next to my stand of Joe Pye Weed and they also are as tall and are
starting to bloom. They are beauties. Hope this helps.
