Re: plants dying another mystery

Just found a container, terra cotta pot with Mexican heather, with pink/light
purple flowers, with half of the plant brown and dying.  Identical container
with the White flowered Mexican heather is right next to the dying one,
conditions are the same, and the white flowered heather is doing just great!  
How did I manage that?  Both is partial shade in p.m with light sun in am.
The white flowered one is slightly bushier, but basically the same size.
the Pink one is just one half brown and brittle!  I'm talking one branch green
and flowered and the next brown and droppy leaves!
What is going on!
