Possibly helianthum/helianthes (can't
remember exact word - someone with a
functioning brain please help).

I am hoping that someone out there in
perennial land can help me put a
name to a mystery plant.....
I feel like my car should sport a bumper sticker
that says, "WARNING!! I
brake for perennials!!" I was driving through
the neighborhood the
other day and noted a spectacular plant that I
MUST have!
It looks like a coneflower of come kind. Same
height and structure, big
seedheads. But the petals are a crimson red in
the center (around the
seedhead), changing to a sunset orange and
then to bright golden as the
petals flare out.
Can anyone put a name to this for me??
Thanks,
Sue P.
