RE: Phlox stolonifera

It needs a lot of sun, so I'm not sure it would do well under a pine tree.

As to rate of growth, in my experience it takes a few years to settle in,
and then takes off.

I have been trying to establish a bed of Phlox stoloniofera under a pine
tree, but it has been a slow process. Is it natural a slow grower?
Plants are well taken care of during the summer since they are near
annuals
