Re: Chocolate Cosmos
The weather here is humid but rarely hot--it's a lot like San Francisco.
Right on the coast with an ocean influence. My chocolate cosmos is in full
sun except that an agressive daylily next to it shades it somewhat but not
much. Air circulation is probably pretty good since we get a lot of wind
and the plant is in a border by some roses and the daylily. I certainly
enjoy it every year and it's fun to give one of the flowers to a chocolate
fan. This plant has really taken no great effort on my part for the last
few years. It's in clay soil enriched with compost and gets regular
watering from a water line system.
