RE: Baptisia australis

Hi Al,
I have taken tip cuttings from a particularly handsome specimen in a
friends garden in late June when it had finished blooming. They rooted
quite easily in a 50/50 mix of perlite & coarse vermiculite. No bottom heat
was required and the rooted cuttings had sufficient time to grow and harden
off in preparation for winter dormancy. All came through the winter and
made nice plants the following spring. Seeds are not hard to germinate
either, but there is some natural variability in the seedlings which you may
or may not want.

Can B. australis be propogated by stem cuttings or do you have to divide
the plant? How difficult is it to grow from seed?
